inport blog dec 2007 craft room ice storm

Blog EntryDec 9, '07 1:40 PM
for Kathy's friends & their friends and Kathy's family & their family
It rained most of the night, around 5 am we had lots of thunder and lightening, and then when it became light enough to see outside-we discovered the ice has arrived. As it rains it coats everything it touches with ice. Out here in the woods it is gorgeous but none of us here in my area of the ozarks want to go thru what we did last January-over 2 weeks with no electric. so far so good.
I have been busy in the kitchen today so far. Made yogurt, two batches of Baileys Irish Cream, and mixed up 4 batches of cookies, two more batches to bake. Was just taking a bit of a break from that and bringing in wood for the 2 woodstoves, and catching up on with Packers on nfl radio.
Here are some pictures of my floor. The first were taken yesterday, the ice picture is taken looking out one of my craft room windows, and then the completed floor.

We will be keeping you close in our hearts Kathy. I hope it does not turn out as bad as last year. Hugs.

Wonderful pics! I do love seeing the ice on the trees only because it looks so beautiful especially when the sun hits it. I know to much is not a good thing for the weight factor. Your craft room is looking so good. Love the tiles that's just what I would have picked. Wish I had a room like that! It's going to been so nice when it's done and you're enjoying it! Keep warm and enjoy your baking!~hugs~
